Well, the days before my period It seems that I get really constipated. I tried eating extra fiber, but that doesn’t seem to be helping. I tried drinking more water, but that doesn’t help either. Can anyone tell me how to relieve it without laxatives?
How can i get rid of this constipation without going back to laxative abuse?
Well I Am 17 and have suffered from an eating disorder for several years but now I am restrictin and have been off laxatives for nearly 2 weeks YAY!
But also I am really constipated and I think it is really slowing down my weight loss. I have only been once in the last 2 weeks, so how do I sort this problem out?
I eat a lot of fibre as a vegan and drink plenty of water.
I have a bowel movement once a week, is this normal or should I be concerned?
Keep in mind I am 17 years old and this has been happening for as long as I can remember ( as long as I have been alive ). Nothing is really wrong, sometimes it worries me after the one week mark but that is all. I have taken laxatives and fiber and all that and sure they help the problem after 1-2 days of use but seriously, I cant use laxative the rest of my life and fiber pills cost a shit load. Should I be concerned or just let my body do its thing once a week? Also when I do go my BMs are very large, like above the water in the toilet and I have to plunge every time. Sorry if gross just trying to describe the best I can. Thanks in advance for advice.
Will I get diarrhea if I have more than 50 grams fiber per day?
I am really "stopped" up and I need to get it all out, and I feel so sick. i refuse to take laxatives so if I eat too much fiber will it work>??
i refuse to take laxatives because my mom wont let me, and it would ruin my intestines..
How much weight can I lose in a month and a half?
If I stick to a diet of only fruit and vegetables.
Drink double the required amount of water per day (16 glasses).
Take a fiber supplement / laxatives.
Do 400 crunches a day.
200 leg lifts (each side).
100 dips.
100 push ups.
100 squats.
And 9 hours of walking / standing at work 3 days a week.
Plus at least an hour of walking on days that I don’t work.
I have a sensitive stomach, and get alot of internal gas. What can I do to stop it?
I’m lactose intolerant, and supposedly have digestive problems but I still haven’t seen a doctor. I’ve tried laxatives, fiber supplements, lactaid free foods, eating healthier, and gas pills but nothing seems to make it stop.
My stomach gets all bubbly and feels like it’s a lava pit. I get bloated, and it even makes noises when under pressure. I’m tired of having to deal with my upset stomach.
laxatives or fiber pills?!?!?
wat would be better to lose weihgt wiht ((not healthier))…

Laxatives and fiber…?

and
2.) do laxatives rid you of body fat?

I've taken laxatives, eaten fiber, but I still face constipation. help?
it’s been 5 days since my last… major trip to the toilet.. I’ve eaten an extremely healthy and high fiber diet, (oatmeal for breakfast, an entire mango for snack, whole wheat sandwhich, and various pastas for dinner), I’ve even taken LAXATIVES and still nothing will come out. sitting on the toilet for long periods of time gets me nowhere. I have major stomach pain and If I don’t ‘go’ soon, should I stop eating until it finally comes?
What is causing abdominal bloating? And how to fix it?
I’m a woman trying to lose weight. Currently, I’m training pretty hard for a triathlon (swimming, biking, running). My weight has not gone down (I’m currently 115 lbs at 5′2). I’ve also been on a colon cleanse which I’ve recently stopped. My lower abdomen (right below belly button) is unusually distended. It’s not fat, it’s bloat and a lot of it. My stools have been rather runny lately, but when they are not, they have been difficult to come out. I’ve further read that using laxatives (which I did with the colon cleanse) can cause constipation. One of the symptoms of constipation is, ironically, diarrhea. Constipation, of course, causes bloating. I’ve also read that too many crunches and other ab work can also push up the muscle underneath the fat and cause you to look fatter. Last night, I took my last dose of the colon cleanse stuff and I also worked my abs really hard. I’m thinking this combination has left me abnormally bloated. So my question is: how do I lose the bloat?
NATURAL LAXATIVES FOR CONSTIPATION
www.wecarespa.com Susana Belen Founder of We Care Spa recommends the healthy choice for constipation using natural foods and herbs as a laxative. Constipation could be avoided if you eat watery food like fruits and vegetables. If your constipated you could drink some prune juice or soak some prunes over night for less sugar. dried figs, apricots, and fruits will help as a laxative. If you’ve been constipated for some time and the fruit still don’t work then you can try a nutural herb formula in capsule form called fiber regulator which is sold at We Care Spa. Ugh, what are some foods I can eat, or natural ways to relieve terrible constipation?
I feel so bloated and sick, and I havent been able to dump in like 3-4 days, except this one little rock hard turd that really hurt. I am desperate, but dont have any extra money to buy laxatives, so I need something I can use around the house (That won’t leave it smelling like cow dookey for a month) . Anyone have any good suggestions, I need to poop so badly?
I can smell the stench of my own farts, so that’s no problem. But when I actually dump a #2 in the toilet it’s as if Germany dropped a stank bomb right over my trailor. Ugh.
I have been constipated and have hemroids for the past 4 months. I eat fiber supplements but it does not help!
I have had a colonoscopy and it was negative. I eat healthy and take fiber supplements such as metamucil, I drink plenty of water and exercise. No matter what I do I am always constipated. The doctor says to walk more and take laxatives. What is wrong with me?

What can i do to relieve constipation?
Besides, laxatives or enema.
What foods or herbs act as natural laxatives?
Does anybody know which foods or herbs that will act as a natural laxative? I prefer to avoid the store bought chemicals that are sold as laxatives.
Massive fiber= blood?
I’m having a little problem.
I’ve been excercising alot and eating foods that has alot of fiber. In addition to that, I’ve been taking 2 doses of Fiber Laxatives. Reason being is that Military Weight-ins are coming up and if they see that I’m overwieght , they’re going to kick me out of the military.
The Fiber did a great job of taking all that wieght into the toilet…. but you-know-where is bleeding and I’m getting worried. Could the Fiber be ripping my intestinal or rectums walls up to make it bleed?
I have a question about constipation? What is a quick way to get relief?
I have been constipated for at least 3 weeks. I have tried fiber laxatives, elax, and even tried store bought enemas. But nothing seems to work. Can someone tell me how to get quick relief?
is it my digestive system?
Symptoms:- Constipation, Feeling sick, Heartburn, Period like cramps, Pains in abdominal area, Sicky feeling in abdominal area, Pains, Pains in chest, Bloated, Sharp stabbing pains in chest and throat
This has gone on for nearly a year and for a few months I got blood in my stool but that might have been from strain. I’ve been to doctors plenty of times they’ve took blood test and did a test that would have supposedly shown if I had anything like cancer but everything was normal and they did an eye test. The doctor reassured me I’m healthy theres nothing wrong and give me laxatives but this isn’t working and it keeps coming back I can’t eat much without feeling sick or getting discomfort whats wrong? And can these tests really show everything as doctors say? I’ve always had problems with this area since I was younger I’d catch water infections all the time and get bad gas and constipation problems after meals. Once I was taken into hospital in alot of pain they gave gastric medicine
How much many grams of fiber do i have to eat a day?
i have the SLOWEST! metabolism in the World! ive been on laxatives for the past 2 years and plus i have ulcers. actually ive improved my eating habits but now i just want to work on consuming more fiber so how many grams of fiber should i eat and also please tell me what foods have TONS of fiber in them so i can eat them
Eating 8-12 servings of veggies and fruit, why does that cause constipation?
I attended a talk by a nutritionist some months ago, in which she stated that most if not all the major diseases such as cancer, heart disease, and diabetes, can be prevented, improved, or even reversed by eating 8-12 servings of fruit and vegetables per day. So I made an effort to try to do that. It got easier at the end of summer, what with all the gorgeous fresh produce at the local farmers’ market. But after a while I got uncomfortably blocked up, and I don’t get why. Isn’t fiber, of which I was getting plenty, supposed to prevent constipation?
I wasn’t eating a low carb plan, was in fact getting over 200 grams of carbs per day. It wasn’t a low fat plan, either – I put butter on anything I pleased, ate cheese, full fat yogurt. I also ate a reasonable amount of protein each day. Pretty good balance, the only thing I purposefully avoided was *refined* starches and sugars. Ate about 2500 calories per day, and lost about 20 pounds over four months.
Yeah, taking fiber-based laxatives, and stool softeners does help, but I don’t get why I have to shell out for laxatives, when I’m already paying so much for the kinds of foods that are supposed to prevent needing laxatives.
Hmm, water is a good question. By habit, I was drinking a minimum of 60 oz of plain water plus other beverages per day. Some days it would be closer to 80 oz plus, especially once I noticed I was having a problem. So, not a whole heck of a lot, but not nothing, either.
What do i give my 2 yr old to relieve her constipation?
I have given her all the things that usually give her diarhea, but they aren’t even working. Prune juice did not work out with her–she hates it! Nothing has changed in her diet, she drinks plenty of fluids, and is active. I don’t want to scar her by giving her an enema. Any natural remedies (not enemas or laxatives) would be awesome

how long does it take fiber pills to work?
so i know laxatives are bad and all for the body and they just make you gain weight back, so instead i took the max amt. of fiber one chew tablet things yesterday, so how long does it take them to kick in?
Which is the best natural laxative?
have to know because I can’t take the medicinal laxatives, because it can cause intestinal paralysis (intestines won’t move feces without the laxatives, this happens when you use a lot.)
So, which is best? Aloe Vera Juice, Castor Oil, Olive Oil, Prune Juice, Pineapples, etc.??
Please don’t suggest flax seed, I don’t go to the health food stores.
Question about laxatives and fiber supplements?
Okay so for like the past week I’ve felt very constipated. I have the feeling where I have to go, but can’t seem to get anything out. Earlier today, I felt like I had to go to the bathroom but I wasn’t able to. This is gross and sorry for the info, but I put my finger in my anus a little bit and felt the poop sitting there but it just won’t come out! I know I need to eat more fiber and drink alot more water but I just want something to fix this! I’ve read a little about laxatives and feel like that would help me a bunch. I’ve never used them. I asked my mom if I could go get some, but she seems to be aganist it strongly. Is using it once for one day that big of a deal? She thinks I would become dependant on them, but you have no idea how bad I just want to get over this! Also, if I started taking some fiber thing everyday would I have to take that for the rest of my life? I guess what I’m just asking is, would it be okay if I just would use a laxative this one time? Is there any alternatives I could use instead of laxatives? Please help!
Thank you guys soo much! Very Very helpful!! ![]()
My son has a little diarrhea and the dr said to give him metamucil bars but they say they are a laxative?
My 16 month old has a little diarrhea, nothing sever just a little bug. The dr said to get those metamucil bar things and the fiber should control the diarrhea. I was reading the package and it said "fiber laxative" We don’t need any laxatives so should I still give him that or not?
The ped is closed now so any input is appreciated.
Hes been on the brat diet today, but reading the box totally threw me. It made sense the fiber soaking up the extra liquid but it saying a laxative.
What do I need to start a colon cleanse? (serious answers)?
Ok, my husband and I will be taking laxatives this weekend to clean our bodies of waste… we’ll actually be taking milk of magnesium. I don’t want to feel dehydrated or become ill. So, what are some supplements I can use to avoid getting sick but that it’s not chunky food. For example, I’m thinking of taking calcium supplements and electrolytes. Anything else you may reccommend?
Thanks…
