I took a stool softener a few days ago because I have a fissure. After taking it I got horrible nausea for about an hour, and three days later, I haven’t gone to the bathroom once! I’m wondering if the stool softener made me constipated – can that happen if you don’t take enough liquids with it?

Also, what liquids should you take with it? Is water the only option?

My wife is 1 month along and she is wondering if you can use a stool softener while being pregnant?

If someone is taking 2 mg of Hytrin and also Azor 40mg, and take stool softener with 100 mg of docusate sodium every night, could that be raising the blood pressure? If so, why?

I’m looking for a mild stool softener or mild laxative that will work quick and not be so harsh i have to take off tomorrow. Any suggestons? OTC is a must.

ok so i have been constipated for like 2-3 days and my stool i can tell is big and hard (yuck i no) when i tryed to push it out it hurt like hell and wouldnt budge. will a stool sofener make it really soft so it wont hurt? i need help

the over the counter ones but they don’t have DHA in them. Any suggestions on over the counter DHA pills?

I told me doctor of my problem and they just recommended a stool softener and a laxative, why don’t the recommend the prenatals with stool softeners?

Can’t go to the store and I’m getting desperate…..been about a week. I tried drinking epsom salts and water but it made me throw up it’s so disgusting.

okay so i know there are some laxatives you can put inside your butthole, instead of swallowing them.

I ate a ton of food and i feel so gross and discusting, the closest thing i have to any form of laxative is stool softener..will that work like a laxative at all??? what can i use as a laxative, any natural or homemade things that would work, other than prune juice and things like that that i dont own haha

Well i’m really constipated so i took one stool softener just now and i’m going running with my friend tomorrow. Was it a bad idea to take it?

Due to menstruation, I am really really constipated. I have low blood pressure because of menstruation and at times feel dizzy. So, do you think after all of that…its ok to take a stool softener such as senokot??? or should I not take it because I’m feeling dizzy, stomach pains and low blood pressure?
